Reasons for Liverpool Students to be Proud of our City

2011 has been a good year for Liverpool in the visitor feedback stakes. Not only was our city voted the friendliest in the UK for the second year running, but also back in September was crowned the best city to visit in England! The awards were voted for by readers of the popular monthly travel magazine Group Leisure, and were announced during an awards ceremony at the Hilton Hotel in Birmingham.

Top Liverpool attractions include the city’s cathedrals, museums and art galleries, unique architecture, shopping, nightlife and restaurants. Plus tourism favourites the Beatles tour, Cavern Club, Yellow Duckmarine, Williamson Tunnels and Liverpool football ground. As well as attracting first-time visitors from all over the country and the world, Liverpool’s rich cultural heritage, and busy annual events schedule keeps visitors returning year after year.

With all this in mind it’s hardly surprising that Liverpool always scores well in the student surveys too. Many of the above are things that students consider when deciding on a University city, and so these coupled with Liverpool’s abundance of quality Universities and student accommodation it’s an obvious choice. So, next time you have friends or relatives visiting, be a good host and make sure to make the most of your award-winning city!
