Student Diary Date – Liverpool Food and Drink Fest

We’ve only just recovered from the Mathew Street Festival last weekend and it’s already time for another Liverpool festival fave, Liverpool Food & Drink Festival!

This weekend Sefton Park will play host to the launch of the week-long festival, during which top food and drink establishments from around the city will be showcasing their finest pickings.

The Park will be filled with busy restaurant stalls, offering a huge range of delicacies from around the world to sample and buy at a fraction of their restaurant prices. Courtesy of Peacock Bar this years main music sponsor, crowds will be entertained by live music and DJs from a centre stage within a huge mint garden… interesting.

Celebrity chef Marco Pierre-White will be on-site along with Masterchef judge John Torode, and food and drink workshops and masterclasses will be taking place throughout the weekend.

It’s £4/5 entry this year but if you fancy a mooch it’s only skipping distance from both the Smithdown and Sefton Park student accommodation areas and a few minutes on the bus from town. You might just discover your new best fave restaurant, or at the very least enjoy some drinks and live music in the park.
