4 Days of Free Music in Liverpool This Bank Holiday Weekend

We’re getting ready for the return of the Liverpool International Music Festival tonight and we’re very excited to see what’s in store for the city this bank holiday weekend.

This year, the majority of the music will be in Sefton Park, which is perfect if you’re living in our student accommodation in the area- you’re just around the corner! An extra bonus is that all the best bits are completely free– so all we need now is the weather…

Arguably the best moment to catch this weekend will be tonight, when the Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra performs with The Lightening Seeds. Kicking off at 7.20pm on the main stage, you can expect big tunes and an impressive firework display.

The fun continues on Saturday from 12pm-6pm with a number of different stages at Sefton Park, all offering something a little bit different. Whether you’d prefer local Liverpool bands or a series of tribute acts, there’ll be something for everyone.

Sunday sees more of the same, with the day culminating in a performance by the one and only, Shaggy! We advise getting down there early and setting up camp with some nice food and drink, and truly enjoying that bank holiday Monday means it’s a three day weekend!

Monday plays host to a few names you may recognise; The Hoosiers, Neon Jungle, Foxes and DJ Fresh are all appearing on the main stage between 12-7pm.

Enjoy!
