Another free weekend to enjoy in Liverpool

From next Friday, the streets of Liverpool will come alive with the sights and sounds of Brazil. The UK’s biggest samba carnival is on the horizon and is the perfect way to immerse yourself in Latin American culture and best of all, it’s free!

Friday the 12th July kicks off a week long of events, ranging from samba classes so you can perfect your dance moves, to night time screenings of great independent films. Liverpool is the perfect city for an event like this with great venues ranging from St. Luke’s Church to the Metquarter, to celebrate in.

The real talked about event takes place on Saturday, 20th July, where the carnival parade will sweep through the city centre. It begins at 8pm from Abercromby square and visits Hope street and Hardman street along the way.

Williamson Square is also in on the action and from 11am-11pm, there is a day of great music with local groups and authentic Brazilian DJ’s playing well into the night. You’ll have plenty of time to experience gorgeous food and drink, as well as culture, art and sport straight from Brazil.
