Parent’s guide to student accommodation

We have no doubt that as a parent you’ll be anxious to see where your son or daughter is choosing to live each year that they study and making sure that it is safe and secure. At Rooms4U, we strive to take as much stress as possible out of the student lettings process for both parents and students by providing the best possible service and care.

We are absolutely committed to providing a student lettings service that will not only house students, but also be a big part of their development and safety during these pivotal years of study.

Our fantastic team are always at hand to answer any questions or concerns you may have, as well as advising prospective tenants on what accommodation may suit them best.

Quality Housing

All of our student properties are owned and maintained by us, and are fully certified to comply with the necessary building and student housing regulations.

We pride ourselves not just on the high standard of accommodation we provide, but the high standard of ongoing service we offer once our tenants have moved in, too.

Professional Service

We believe our award winning, attentive approach to student housing is the reason why people stay with us throughout their time at University.

It’s important to note that our tenants are not just a number to us. We treat all of our student tenants with the respect they deserve. Plus, we understand the stresses and pressures that goes along with being hardworking young adults, which is why our customers trust Rooms4u to provide them with the right foundations for a successful, happy life whilst they study!

We Care

The safety and wellbeing of our tenants is paramount to us. We strive to deliver a non-invasive, yet caring, approach to student lettings and the ongoing services provided during the tenancy. You can be confident that our staff are highly trained to provide the correct level of support required.

Speak to any of our current or past tenants and you will soon realise that we do much more than just housing. We understand that moving away from home can be a strange, scary time for most, so we do all we can to ensure that our tenants are looked after and feel secure in their new homes.

We always promise a speedy response to any maintenance queries and also have an out of hours service for any issues that may arise outside of our usual operating times.

Guarantors

If you have been elected as a guarantor for one of our tenants, we always require confirmation that you accept to act as such:

– We will ask you to sign a Guarantor’s Agreement, as well as two forms of ID, one which must include photographic identification. These can be one out of the following groups:

– Valid photo driving licence, passport or national ID card

– Utility bill dated within the last 3 months, mortgage statement dated within the last 12 months or a council tax bill dated within the last 12 months.

As guarantor, you will be responsible for correcting any breach of tenancy. This includes arrears and non-payment of rent if the tenant fails to fulfil their tenancy responsibilities.
