Liverpool Food and Drink Festival

The annual Liverpool food and drink festival is held in Liverpool’s Sefton Park so if you get chance why not pop down with your student friends and sample some of the great food on offer.

The weekend starts on Saturday 1st September with the celebration of local food and local restaurants showing off their services. For people who will be attending on Saturday there are some great events set to take place such as the great Merseyside bake off, a Malaysian kitchen cooking and cookery classes by Chaophraya. As well as the food there is a Lanson Champagne marquee and the Ship and Mitre beer festival.

This isn’t a free festival and will cost £4 if bought online in advance at www.liverpoolfoodanddrinkfestival.co.uk or £5 on the day, it is definitely worth the money, the only thing we can suggest is take your waterproofs and Wellington boots as the weather is set to be wet and windy.

The festival begins at 1030am and ends at 630pm so why not go with your flat mates/ house mates and have some fabulous food cooked for you. There are also market stalls which sell more unusual food such as reindeer and ostrich burgers so you and your house mates could have your very own “Im a celebrity” tasting session.
